Event Power Distribution in Vancouver & the Lower Mainland

When the power fails at an event, everyone finds out at once — a stage that goes dark mid-set, a breaker that trips every time the lighting rig hits full, an outdoor site with no clean power anywhere near where the show needs to happen. Valley Tech supplies and runs event power distribution as part of your production — generators, distribution, cabling, and on-site crew, planned alongside your AV, lighting, and staging — so the show has reliable power from load-in to teardown.

01 — Plan to the load

Power is planned in with the rest of your production

A generator on a truck isn’t a power plan. Sound, lighting, video, and the site itself each draw differently, and the total load decides everything downstream — what feeds what, where the distribution sits, how the cable is run.

We scope that alongside the rest of the build: what the show actually draws, what the venue or site can supply, and where the gaps are — so power is designed around your production, not guessed at on the day.

02 — Distribution, crew & permits

Clean distribution, cabling, and a crew that owns it

From the source, power has to reach every position — stage, front-of-house, lighting, vendors — without overloading a leg or leaving cable where people walk. We handle the distribution and cabling, matted and routed to keep the site safe and tidy, as one line item in your production plan alongside AV, lighting, and staging.

Where tying into a venue’s electrical service is the right call, we coordinate that with the venue; where it isn’t, we bring the power ourselves. Either way, experienced crew stay with the power for the length of the event — not just plug it in and leave.

For sites where temporary event power needs a permit, we coordinate the electrical permitting and inspection through our licensed electrical subcontractor — so power on your site is code-compliant and signed off before the show, not sorted out on the morning of.

03 — Outdoor & temporary sites

Festivals, outdoor sites, and anywhere the power isn’t already there

Ballrooms usually have power in the walls. Fields, parking lots, parks, and street closures don’t — and that’s where an event power plan earns its keep. As part of the production, we bring generators and full distribution for outdoor festivals, concerts, and temporary sites, sized to run the stage, the vendors, and the site for the whole event.

It’s the same job at a corporate activation or a hybrid broadcast that has outgrown the room’s circuits — clean power, delivered and run alongside the rest of your production.
